I've been quite the blogger lately, I guess I've had more going on then normally.

This weekend my friend and I are hosting a couples shower for our girlfriend who's getting married in June. We have everything planned with a Hawaiian theme. It's going to be so much fun! I'm in much need of a girls weekend with all my best college friends.

The hubby booked golf with the other hosts hubby so he will have a good weekend as well :)

Corbin Scott

So.. If you know me then you know that I am OBSESSED with my niece, Ariana. She is so stinking cute and so much fun. I've always been super close to my older brother so when he got married i became close to his wife as well. I definitely live through their life right now for kids. Josh and I will have kids in a few years but right now with work and traveling we enjoy it without kiddos. We love traveling and seeing places and kids just don't work out too well on airplanes :) So anyway, on Christmas Josh and I opened a framed picture of an ultrasound! They are expecting again! I couldn't be more excited.

About two months ago I went to visit my family and we went to dinner. I knew they were planning on telling us if the baby was a boy or girl. That afternoon I arrived earlier than dinner and was hanging out with my niece (who is almost 3 now). I kept asking " Ariana, did your mommy or daddy tell you if it was a boy or a girl" and she goes "yes, a boy!" so i started screaming and said "you're going to have a brother!!" and she replied with "no Aunt Amber, I'm going to have sister". HAHAHA. So she fooled me... I had no idea until they told us at dinner, she's a little booger! it was too cute though :)

So they finally told us that they are expecting a BOY! I'll have a nephew in the middle of July! His name is going to be Corbin Scott.

My brother is a pilot and LOVES airplanes so Corbin's room is going to be decorated with airplanes. My sister-in-law found bedding at Pottery Barn that has airplanes that is so cute. It's going to be adorable!

So the countdown has begun... 4 months until I have a nephew!!

Our First Home!

So it's finally official - Josh and I are homeowners! We closed on our first home on Monday, April 5th. We took vacation the entire week last week to get moved out of our rental home and moved into our new home. It was quite a week - busy busy! Josh got sick on Monday night so he had a rough few days but was still helpful moving. Thank goodness we hired movers to move all the furniture!

With Josh and I traveling for work we knew if we didnt take the week off and get completely unpacked and settled in our new house, we never would be. So that's what we did! By Thursday evening we were completely done! By Friday evening we had a bunch of friends over for our first BBQ :) It was great!

Kroeger, our cat, really helped us during the move. The most surprising thing is he is not on the couch or someones lap - i guess he felt neglected when we moved so he found another spot for the day :) (And YES i know he is HUGE, he is big baby.. (14 lbs) but he is SO sweet)

Many many thanks to our parents for all the help. We wouldn't have been able to do it without them!

We have a LOT of furniture buying to do! (which I'm really excited about!) We need a dining room table, formal living room furniture and master bedroom furniture. PLUS all decor for walls.. so we will be busy bees buying! Nebraska Furniture Mart will love us!

If you ever want to visit Kansas City we have three guest rooms so you're more than welcome to visit! We love visitors.. Royals games, Plaza, Power & Light, Outdoor bars, etc. It'll be fun :)
