July Updates!

What a slacker I am in the blog world! My job has kept me extremely busy in the last few weeks. Here’s a few updates on the Mead household..
On Saturday, July 17th I helped host a baby shower with 4 other girls for my good friend, Kindall. She’s having a boy in a MONTH! So crazy and exciting. We did a giraffe theme and it was a great time to see all my college best friends.

After the shower we went to eat Mexican food and out on the town. My best friend, Jenny, met up with us too so I got to see everyone I love in Tulsa that weekend. On Sunday I stopped by my brother’s house before heading back to KC.

When I got there my nephew had a onesie on that said “My Aunt Rocks”.

This past weekend my husband and I took it easy on Saturday. We are so burnt out on traveling and needed a break (even if it was only one day!).

So we slept in and then decided to go look around at cars. His dad had mentioned a good deal on an Acura online so we checked it out. We didn’t like the style/color so we just went to the dealership to look around.. I’m sure you guys can all guess but YES we ended up buying a car! So the one weekend we have nothing going on and wanted to save money we decide to buy a car! (Welcome to our crazy lives!) We got a Nissan Maxima!

My first car with all leather, Bose sound system and blue tooth for my phone. Which, I LOVE! I already can't imagine not having it and it's only been a few days :)

It’s not that we haven’t wanted/needed a car; it’s just that we hadn’t talked about getting one so soon. So anyway, we decided this car would be mine since it’s a 4 door big car that will be good for kids (in 2-3 years). So it’s officially “my” car but will be “our” car until the hubby gets his truck in a year or two! Funny how that worked out, ah?!

So this weekend we have no real plans except hanging out in KC! We are babysitting our friends’ dog, Louie, while they are out of town. He’s a 10 lb black shitzsu and super sweet. I’m excited to have a dog around for the weekend! On Saturday we are going to a Royals game with two other couple friends. It should be a good time and relaxing and hopefully this time we wont spend us much money on our "relaxing" weekend.
