Happy Holidays!

This past month has flown by! (Don't they all anymore though...) We started the month of December making some touches to Addison's nursery and then had a pretty full schedule.

We had some family pictures done by the wonderful Mrs Allison French. (http://www.lifebythefrenchs.com/) and they turned out so great! If you're in the KC area and would like some family/baby/couple pictures taken; I would highly recommend her. She's so sweet, affordable and a fantastic photographer!
Here are a few sneak peaks:

(To see all of them visit my picture website: www.joshandamber.shutterfly.com)

First off, we celebrated my older brother's 30th Birthday in Tulsa! His wife threw a fantastic casino themed birthday party. We had Buffalo Wild Wings, beer, margaritas, and card games all night.

 Birthday Boy!
 Awesome cake!
On my husbands 30th my brother fed him whiskey shots... so of course it was time for some pay back :)
 Happy Birthday!
 My daddy and I
And this is how the evening ended... hehe

The next weekend we had a work Christmas party and then a dinner date with our good friends, Kristin, Chuck, Dane, Sara, Nick and Amanda. It was a great time but unfortunately the camera didn't make it out with me!

That Sunday we went to our last Chiefs game of the season.... and we actually WON! It was beautiful outside (55 degrees!) and we beat the Green Bay Packers! Which is awesome because they had a 19 game winning streak that we crushed. Just leave it to the Chiefs to be sucky all year and then beat the best team! haha... but whatever; it was a great day to be a Chiefs fan! And of course; made it even more apparent that we will be renewing our season pass tickets for next year :)

Thankfully for my wardrobe this was the last game... I'm pretty sure my long sleeve shirt won't be fitting much longer!
 The Boys

 Friends!
Josh and his cigar... game day tradition with the boys

This week began the holiday celebrations! We spend the holidays (actual Christmas eve and Christmas day) with family so Josh and i always do our Christmas a few days early. BUT this will be the last year... starting next year we will spend the weekend before and/or after with family but the actual holiday will be spent with just us 3... our new family tradition will begin with miss Addi! We are excited to begin the new chapter with just us... christmas cookie making, christmas eve movies, SANTA and presents all day Christmas!

Presents!!

 Our Christmas Tree
Melmann's christmas present.. he's just like a little kid; shaking with excitement when opening the present
a new alligator baby!

Sophie's turn!
Ya! a new leopard baby :)
 Josh got some new jeans

And i got a new purse! A Marc Jacobs purse; which has been on my wish list for awhile so I was super excited. We had to order the color i wanted so i'll post pictures later!

ANd that brings us to today... We are in Tulsa for the next 4 days spending time with family and friends. I'm about to go pick up my niece and nephew and let their parents have a date night. We are taking them to Rama to look at Christmas lights and dinner at Red Robin. My niece said the other day "Daddy, when is Aunt Amber coming in town?" Scott: "In 3 days" My niece: "Yaaa; i miss her more than Christmas!"
If that's not the cutest thing ever! Plus, every time I see her she rubs my belly and says "I love Addison".. what a great big cousin she will be!

And.... last by not least an Addison update- The past month has gone by pretty well. I've had some pretty crazy heartburn but nothing that my prilosec hasn't fixed. I was pretty stubborn and didn't want to be on medication so i tried TUMS and Mylanta for about 2 weeks and it was doing nothing so I finally gave in and started taking the daily pill (doctor recommended); and let me tell ya - i haven't turned back. I have no heartburn and feeling SO much better. Other than that - I passed my glucose test (hooray!) but am a bit anemic so I'm taking an icon pill. Other than that; Addison checked out great in size, weight, etc. She currently weighs 2 pounds. I've gained 16 pounds so far, which i hear is a good weight so i'll take it! I'm sure over the next 2-3 remaining months there will not be a weight update on the blog :) Third Trimester weight just doesn't count anymore; and i just entered it! I feel so blessed and happy our little girl is doing so well. All my appointments have been smooth sailing and pregnancy hasn't been too rough on me! God is so good.

Here are some prego pictures. (She's getting HUGE!)

Happy everyone has a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! My next post will most likely be labeled "babies"... i have three really good friends who are having a baby this month!
