Days... that is now what I'm focused on... 24 days to be exact until baby Addison's due date.
Last Tuesday we went to a fantastic show at the Sprint Center. It was the Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil show. It was incredible! I've never been to a show like this before so that alone was amazing but then they added the entire show on Michael Jackson music!! (I had a crush on him when I was young, and let me be honest - it hasn't fully gone away). Our good friends got the tickets and she got us on the floor, 7th row! It was so awesome. I tried to sneak my camera in but they caught me. I guess they are super strict on cameras at shows like this; but it's ok I still got a few on the phone!
Headed to the show:
Yep that's right- 7th row!!
More exciting news is Josh's best friend, Lucas, and his wife had their baby girl on February 23rd! She was 3 days overdue and weighed 6 lbs. Her name is Claire Elizabeth. She is sooo precious and so tiny! We went to visit her on Saturday morning and they are doing great. This Sunday we are bringing them dinner so we get some more cuddle time with the little princess. I think the most exciting part is that our little girls will be so close in age. It will be so fun having them grow up together. Here's sweet baby Claire:

How sweet is that face!!
Now on to an Addi update: The past few weeks have been rough. I am fitting a cold; with no good medicine since I'm pregnant and the swelling in my feet and hands are out of control! This is me:
And to be honest, my doctor has ZERO sympathy for me! Every time I go in she looks and say "oh boy your poor feet are so swollen, try to stay off them" and we are done. I want some magic medicine to make them go down, but i guess that doesn't exist :( After work I try to stay off them but there's just no way at work. I've been trying to work from home a day or two a week to give myself a break, but work is work so sometimes that's hard to do.
My poor husband is so great but I know it's killing him too; after work i literally get home and lay down on the couch. I can't move! He's ready to go do things like we always do and I'm just not up for it. Even going to dinner after work makes me nausea to think about. But the good news is... I'm within days :) But enough complaining; I know there are a million moms out there that survived this and I will too. We are just ready to meet our little girl.
This weekend, per our doctor's advice, we put the carseat in the car and packed a bag. I thought it was a bit too early but since my mom delivered so early, i think my doctor just wants to be sure. I'm 100% convinced this little girl isn't going to be early now. I think she's perfectly content and will wait until her due date... but we will see. I'm going to the doctor every week now and so far no dilation.
Here's one picture of the past week, 37 weeks. (I look thrilled huh?!)
The next few weeks are pretty boring; we don't have many weekend plans other than visiting baby Claire and in two weekends we have a dinner party for our friends birthday. Other than that- we'll be home on the couch I'm sure.
Have a great week! If you're in KC; enjoy the beautiful weather!! I know our pups have!
