Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Moms Day to the wonderful ladies in my life. Although my real mom died when I was 9, i still celebrate her for the nine years I did have her. Plus, I need to celebrate all of the ladies who have been a second mom to me and who have been the best influence I could ask for. So Happy Mothers Day to my grandma, aunts, stepmom, and now mother in law. Here are some pictures in honor of them :)

The first day I came home from the hospital:

One of my favorite pictures. My mom holding my older brother and seeing me for the first time. My grandma is holding me.

My Grandma (moms mom) and my grandma (dads mom) were both a huge part of my life growing up.

Our family when we got back from Hawaii. (Grandma Reeves is on the left.. funniest lady ive ever known!)

Two years ago we lost Grandma Eastin (moms mom) to cancer. I miss her everyday; but extremely grateful and lucky to have her growing up. She always told me stories of my mom and was always there for everything.

Now in my life I have a wonderful stepmom who will be (and is) the best GiGi in the world. I can talk to her about everything and anything and so thankful she is in my life.

Ohio Family

First off.. Happy Cinco de  Mayo!! Hope you're enjoying mexi food and a margarita like my hubs and I. Unfortunately it's raining in KC but I will not let that ruin my festivities! (By festivities i mean sit on my couch, eat dinner, drink marg, and watch tv.. i know kind of lame). Anyway, i have a right to be lazy, life and work has been nonstop so it's time to relax! I went to my first Royals game of the season with 6 girls last night and enjoyed some baseball, sunshine, hot dog, nachos, and a a funnel cake (yes, all 3!). I love living in KC for the baseball and football games. Lately I've become in love with the Royals and the Chiefs. Guess that means I'm officially a KC resident; sometimes I still think I "live" in Oklahoma even though I haven't lived there in four years!

I also found a new music website that is FREE! It's called GrooveShark and is amazing. You can make playlists and save songs. It has the radio option or you can just search for songs. It's so much better than Pandora so if you listen to music a lot, definitely check it out! (What do you have to lose; it's free!)

Ok, on to our weekend in Ohio!

Last weekend Josh and I took 2 days off work and headed to Bucyrus, OH to visit Josh's family with mom and dad mead (josh's rents) - we went to visit grandma, aunt and uncle, cousins and 2nd cousin. It was a great, relaxing weekend with much needed family time! Plus, my phone did not have service so i couldn't look at email or answer calls all weekend.. fantastic! We flew out on Thursday morning and then came home late Sunday evening. Here are some highlights from the mini vacation.

Making the hour drive to Bucyrus from Columbus airport:
Hanging out with grandma.. one of my favorite pics from the trip. haha. Grandma got up close and personal!
On Friday we drove an hour to a city that has an amazing Amish restaurant and stores. Here is Josh so excited to be in this small town:
Josh, Grandma, Teri and Mike enjoying our home cooking amish lunch!
YUMMY! Coconut Cream Pie.. to die for!
Then for dinner it was time for Skyline Chili (my father in laws favorite restaurant). For my Oklahoma friends, its basically a Coney Island... amazing!
 YUMMY!
Mike loving his life.. Yes he has a bib on! haha.
There is a correct way to eat Skyline...
Josh's aunt and uncle have cutie named Bailey.. so sweet
Grandma and Koltyn (Josh's cousin's baby)
 The Meads
Play putt putt with the family
Ryan had to sit in the bush to hit his ball hehe :)
Josh's great grandma, who is in her 90s, lives in Bucyrus so we stopped by to say hi!
My in laws got married 30 years ago in Bucyrus so i had to stop and get a picture of them in front of the church
 All the cousins!

Hope everyone has a great week!
