I am patiently waiting on my niece and nephew to be in Kansas City. I haven't seen them in 2 months (which is a lifetime if you ask me!). Last time I was going to see them I ended up with the flu and couldn't make it. So this weekend is double, trouble spoiling time!
After work today I made Ariana a "pink" theme easter basket with all of her favorite things (bubbles, books, coloring book with magic markers, peeps, M&Ms, slippers, and candy..and candy!) Corbin got a green boy basket with a singing lion, baby fruit snacks (for crawlers), a ball, swimming shorts, and a onsie that says "Chicks Dig Me" for Easter.
I called Ariana a few hours ago and said "Ariana you'll never believe it, the Easter Bunny stopped by Aunt Amber's house early because he knew you were coming". Her response was (in a high screaming voice) "WHAT!!! OH MY GOSH, AUNT AMBER, I AM JUST TOO EXCITED. I hope the Easter bunny remembers my favorite candy". hahahaha.. seriously, how cute is she!
She was also very concerned that he remembered Corbin because she'd hate to share her basket with him since he doesn't like the color pink... he's 9 months old! :)
Our plan this weekend includes a visit to the train restaurant for lunch tomorrow (train delivers food to table) then to Monkey Business. It's a huge warehouse that's inflatable toys playground (adults can go on them with kids too!). Then we are having an easter egg hunt on our house. Fun filled, packed weekend with the kiddos :)
Mr. Melmann lost his "manhood" on Thursday.. he is recovering just great though. Can't even tell the guy had surgery - he's happy, playful, and eating fine. He is a bit sleepy, which I will enjoy (and take pictures of, of course). I'm sure he will be beat on Sunday after the kiddos leave; Ariana LOVES melmann - he's like a life size jungle gym that moves.
Also, this week we found out our cat has talents.. or he's just really fat and loves food. But he can stand and do circles. haha
Happy Weekend!!
