Miss Addison just turned one month! It has gone by so quickly, it's amazing.
No one can explain the first few weeks of having your first baby... it's exhausting! BUT it is also the most amazing few weeks you'll ever experience. You and your husband are complete lost and figuring out this baby that you created. It's so much fun. You learn that getting 3-4 hours of sleep straight is priceless and staring at your baby for an hour straight is normal :)
Every day she does something new and of course super cute! We went to the doctor and she is in the 75 percentile of weight toping the charts with TEN pounds! She obviously doesn't have any problems eating! She has trained mommy well. She's now 21 inches long as well so that makes her in the 50 percentile on height. Doctor said she looks happy and super healthy so we are happy parents!

She sleeps in her bedroom in her crib. I just couldn't sleep with her next to me in our room in the bassinet. She's a noisy sleeper and I wasn't getting any sleep. It took me about 3-4 nights with the monitor.. it's rough! I would hear something and look at monitor then jump up and run into room... ya know, to make sure she's breathing and all. haha. It's hard being a mom; you always worry! She's great at night though; she sleeps great on her back in her crib and wakes up every 3-4 hours to eat. (which is great! She only goes about 2-3 during the day between eating!) It was really me who needed the adjusting!
She is starting to love baths and we can tell she'll be smiling at us soon. (not only because she's pooping! haha) She'll focus on things so we've started introducing toys and it's super cute.

A few updates on us... umm.... we are tired! We have enjoyed a few dinners out with her (she slept entire time) so we are still getting "our" time together which is nice.
Josh has gone golfing twice and addison loves sleeping on him so he's even played video games a few times... lucky daddy! He got a HOLE IN ONE golfing a few days ago!!! It was his first time and was a far shot.. I don't know the stats of it but I know it was really good! It will be in the Kansas City Star newspaper soon so I'll take a picture of it :) He was pretty excited! Addison got a onesie and it says "My daddy golfs better than your daddy".

I got a massage the other day and it was the best hour EVER! I love being home with Addison all day. I miss adult interaction some days but we are pretty busy ... eating every 2 hours, tummy time, swinging, and cuddling of course. My 12 weeks are going by quickly so I'm trying to cherish them everyday!
My best friend who has a little boy that's 3 months older than Addison came to visit from AR! It was so good to have a girls day :)
Future boyfriend!!
Josh's best friend and wife had a baby girl 3 weeks before us so this past Saturday the girls finally met! Addison is a bit "round" compared to Claire but we won't tell her :) Claire has a few weeks on her, we'll give her that excuse.
