I can't believe it's already Thursday! I was planning on writing about my weekend but time got away from me. Here's a short update:
My girlfriend and I hosted our friend a couples shower in Tulsa. We hosted it at my parents house in Tulsa, OK. We did a hawaiian theme and make yummy specialty drinks. It was a lot of fun! The only problem was I forgot my camera in KC :( If you were at the shower, email me pics please! The shower got me excited for all of the Copes wedding festivities to begin!
This week at work I had to take a class at the KC office so I got to come home from Chicago early! I love short travel weeks..and more time at home :) So i got home last night around 5pm. I walked into our house from the garage and all i hear is a dreadful LOUD moew coming from the basement. You seriously would of thought my cat was dying if you didnt know him. BUT if you know him then you know he's just a talker and SO excited to hear someone come home. So I go and let him out of the basement and he runs straight to the kitchen desk where his treats are. he is a SPOILED brat! he didnt want me, he wanted food. (He's very overweight but it's ok, we love fat babies). So i give him treats and then he follows me around the house the entire evening - up and down stairs, down hall, on couch, in bed - you name it, Kroeger is by my side. I guess he missed his mommy. I think he got use to Josh and I being home with him a lot!
Tonight our friends Kristin, Chuck and Dane are coming over. We are making shrimp pasta and playing the wii/watching the NFL draft. I'm excited! Then tomorrow night our friends, Lucas and Amanda, are coming over and we are cooking out. It's going to be a fun two nights! On Saturday Josh and I are going furniture shopping.. hooray!
