Wow, what a long week this has been!!! My client came to KC so we were in sessions all week and eating dinner out at night so the week flew by!
Last weekend one of my besties from college got hitched! It was a blast. I would go in detail but honestly one of my other besties from college was a bridesmaid too and she's a better blogger than me. After a fun Friday and Saturday with my good friends Josh and I celebrated my niece's 3rd birthday and Fathers Day with my dad. We went to eat dinner and spent time with my family. I get to see my niece all the time but for some reason my hubby isnt always around so she doesn't get to see Uncle Josh as much. So needless to say, when Uncle Josh is around I'm dog meat :) But that's ok... she still gives me multiple hugs :) Josh is her personal jungle gym! Uncle Josh had a hat on and my niece had a headband - so of course she thought it'd be fun to switch:

Then she saw that I had a camera.. her other favorite thing. On my new camera you can switch the screen around and see yourself while taking a picture - so of course they had to try that out! This may be my favorite: (why wouldn't it be, they are my two favorite people!)
After all that fun she got her birthday present from us.. a guitar :) Your welcome scott and lauren, i hope it's really loud!!

So overall, it was a fabulous fun filled weekend!
This holiday weekend is just as packed (of course!)!
Tonight we are having a BBQ at our house with around 10 friends. We have lots of yummy food and last night our friends, Dane and Sara, came over and we made watermelon infused vodka. I cut up big chunks of watermelon and poured it in my new huge water container (with a spout, whatever those are called) with vodka. It's been sitting all day so I'm sure it's going to be yummy - we are having that with Sprite, should be delicious!
On Saturday during the day we are laying by Sara's pool then headed to Chuckie and Kris's engagement party at the lake.
Sunday we are flying to Chicago for a Cubs game and a 3 day vacation in Chicago! Even though I'm there every week Monday-Thursday we thought it'd be fun since I now know all the "cool" things to do there (at least I try). Plus, a few weeks ago I had won free clubseats to the Cubs game that included all food and alcohol! So it'll be a fun, inexpensive trip. (Perks to free airline and hotel when you travel for work!) I'll be sure to take lots of pictures of our time there. I hope Josh is ready to eat.. I've got lots of good restaurants for him to try out!
