Memorial Day

I'm back from the past two crazy weekends.. but most importantly we survived!

Last Friday we enjoyed Mr. Tim McGraw in concert, which was fabulous! I love his old music and he played a lot of that as well as his new hits so I enjoyed every bit of it. Although Josh doesn't like to admit it; he enjoyed it too.

 Up close and personal

On Saturday morning i woke up and flew to Dallas to spend the day with my best friends from college. There was 20 of us who hung out all day at our friends house catching up, eating bbq, gossiping, etc. One of friends got engaged (Congrats Heather and AJ!!) and another announced she was pregnant (Congrats Amy and Robert!!). It was a whirlwind day with lots of talking, eating and laughing together. It was a much needed reunion. I unfortunately did not take one picture that day. The other ladies were taking pictures and i was too lazy to go get my camera :) It was a blast though! I miss those girls so much!

On Sunday morning I woke up at 530am and drove to Tulsa from Dallas for my nephews baptism. He was precious in his outfit and smiled the entire time. Crazy how big the little booger is getting!
My brother and nephew.. proud daddy
 Uncle Josh and our niece
 Momma and the main man!
 Aunt Amber and Corbin

We enjoyed some dinner with family and headed to KC on Sunday evening. Monday morning I woke up and flew to California for two days for work.

Tired yet? I am just thinking about my journey!

This weekend on Friday we finally took it easy.. just Josh and I at home cooking dinner and relaxing.

On Saturday morning we woke up and drove to Oklahoma to spend the day with my entire family cooking out at my brothers house for Memorial Day. It was great - yummy food, happy kids, time to do nothing but hang out and talk! My brothers family just adopted a new puppy, a 6 month old weanie dog! Her name is Penny and she is adorable!! (and so sweet!). Melmann and her became best buds.. they ran around the yard for hours together. Although when it was Melmann's turn to chase Penny, Penny would start running and then all the sudden stop and drop dead, rolling over with her feet up. haha. It was awesome!
 My BIG girl niece
Melmann and Penny in their pool
My brothers new hasty bake grill.. and reallllly good food!
 Papa Mike and happy Corbin
Corbin is 10 months old and took his first step on Saturday!! We were all there to witness it too! So exciting.. he's going to be walking in about a month all over the place :)
The whole gang (minus me taking the picture)

On Sunday morning my dad, Josh and I took my niece to a movie. I can't believe she is old enough to sit through a movie. It was Kung Fu Panda 2. It almost made me sad she was that big.. but then the movie started and she doesn't like "bad guys". So she ended up sitting on my lap the entire movie watching it and every once in awhile she would squeeze my hand a little tighter or I would hear her say "oh stop it bad guys". Ahhh so innocent and sweet.. I secretly like she's still a baby in ways :) She's so fun to be around. Plus she wasn't big enough to keep the seat chair down so it kept going up on her legs.. hehe.

On Sunday we took family pictures.. dorky? Yes.. Did i love them? YES! We've been wanting to have some pictures taken for our living room.. casual pictures that aren't wedding. So we decided we would have some taken with Melmann. We went to the park and had a few taken. I'll share those when they come back :)

A big accomplishment this past weekend too.. (only a big accomplishment if you dont have kids and nothing else going on haha) but we finally found a toy Melmann won't go through in one sitting.. I seriously have spent an outrageous amount of money on stuffed ducks and toys. I found this football for $2 at Pets Mart and he LOVES it.. and doesn't destroy it (at least not in one sitting). So i bought 6 of them!

Now we are finally on our couch with Kroeger in my lap sleeping and Melmann asleep below the couch.. calm again. That is, until Friday. Josh leaves for Vegas for a bachelor party and one of my best friends, Lea, is coming to visit from Dallas but that's 5 days from now.. surely i'll be rested by then!

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day with family and friends!
