Summer time has began! That's my only excuse for not updating my blog weekly :)
Since Memorial Day a lot has gone on.. one of my best friends from college came to visit KC. My husband went to Vegas for a bachelor party so we had the entire weekend dedicated to girls time! Friday night we enjoyed shopping on the plaza and a nice long happy hour. On Saturday we laid by the pool for a few hours with some of my KC girlfriends and then out on the town on Saturday night. We started the evening at La Bodega, my favorite Tapas restaurant, and then went to a few bars. We were out until 4am.. let me tell you.. I'm way too old for that! I had to recover the about 3 days after she left!

This past weekend my 4 year old niece had her first dance recital. It may have been the cutest thing I've ever attended. It was a mad house with all of these girls! It was really funny since the four year old class got up there and an entire row stood up from the audience.. Mommy, Daddy, Mama, Papa Gary, Gigi, Papa Mike, Aunt Amber and brother. It was quite a crowd! If you saw this rubber ducky..wouldn't you be taking pictures and videoing too!
My brothers family just got a new addition to the family.. Meet Miss Penny! She's a weanie dog and so sweet. She's 6 months old and already a great dog!

Uncle Josh had to travel for work last week so he didn't get in town until late Friday night. Unfortuntaely he was unable to attend he recital since it was in Tulsa. When we woke up on Saturday morning and ate breakfast my niece asked me why Uncle Josh couldn't come. I explained he was working and couldn't come this time. She simply said "Aw man, Ok well we will just draw him in chalk".. Problem solved! So this is her with her masterpiece of Uncle Josh.
I told him he may want to reconsider his haircut if that's how she thinks he looks! haha. But honestly.. i'm more worried about those hands! Kind of scary :)
I have a new obsession of shoes.. Sperry Top-Sider Boat shoes! At work we can now wear jeans every day for the rest of the summer so of course I needed a few shopping sprees. I bought a pair of Sperrys and I'm obsessed. They are super cute, comfy and look cute for work and play. Every girl needs a pair! Of course I got a pair with leopard on them.
Other than those weekends and a few trips to the mall we've been up to... nothing! And it's been fantastic. We've enjoyed a few happy hours with the girls, golf with the guys, walks with melmann after work, dinner at home but most importantly no airplanes and hotel beds. Life is so good right now! This weekend I have a date night with my cute husband on Friday night and a bachelorette party on Saturday.
