The BIG 3-0!!

My hubby is now officially in his 30’s! This Sunday was his official birthday which he spent playing video games and watching football all day. But no worries… we spent his last two days in his 20’s celebrating!

On Friday we took a vacation day to spend with family and it was a much needed vacation day at that. We slept in, cleaned the house and then went to lunch with Josh’s family. His uncle and aunt from Lake Havasu came to visit and they haven’t been to KC in years. We took them to the famous Oklahoma Joes BBQ restaurant and then went shopping for a bit before preparing for a Friday evening cookout. We made a huge meal of Mexican food and spent time with family and friends. Josh’s mom helped me prepare the food so we had a ton of yummy food, margaritas, Uncle Reese’s famous mohitos, and Mexican beer.

On Saturday morning the boys were going to go golfing but when we woke up it there was ice on the front steps! It decided to freeze over night! Haha. So the boys decided to go to Dave and Busters to drink and play games all day. And of course, they had a fanstatic time chasing cars and drinking beer! One of my best college friends flew in so I picked her up from the airport and us ladies went shopping for the afternoon. I got lots of quality time with my niece and nephew too so it was a great afternoon!

My niece and i were twinkies:

My best friend and I were walking around and I look over and we both had a baby! haha.

Saturday night was the BIG celebration! I planned a party at a bar in Power and Light, Makers Mark. They have a private room for us and we had over 60 guests! All of our family and friends were there. We couldn’t have asked for a better time! Thanks to all of our incredible friends and family members for coming out and celebrating with us! The MU game was on at the beginning of the party so we had the game on and then after that the party music started and let’s just say the “party” started!

I made buttons for everyone to wear with a goofy pic of Josh on it saying Josh's OLD today!"
Then he had a HUGE button that said "I'm OLD today, buy me a shot"

Birthday boy!

My dad and stepmom gave Josh an MU thong (for me) and a pair of OSU boxers (for Josh). And of course my dad made him open it in front of everyone!

The manager at Makers Mark was so cool and gave a round of shots to everyone at the party!

Between all the wine, beer, shots, whiskey, etc. it was a crazy FUN time!

I can confidently say that his birthday weekend was a success! So happy birthday to my OLD husband :)
(Work has been crazy and will be until after December 5th for our go live so blogging is a bit on the side burner. I will try to still keep up though!)
