How am I already 27 years old?! Seems like yesterday I was a freshman at OSU! My birthday was yesterday and I can’t even believe I am this old.. but I will forever have 3 years on my husband. He’ll be 30 in two weeks so he will always keep me young! Hehe.
To celebrate my birthday my sweet hubby surprised with a sushi dinner with all of our KC friends on Friday night. The food was amazing and Kristin brought me an ice cream cake to top it all off! We have such a great group of friends in KC, we are so lucky to have them. We had lots of wine, sushi, and ice cream then went to one of my favorite bars in Waldo, the Well, for a few drinks before heading home.
Mason and his hot mommy:
Aunt Kendra and Aunt Amber giving Mason some loving:
After lunch Josh and I spent the afternoon with my dad and stepmom and then headed to my brothers house for the evening. Time to see my sweet little niece and nephew! (One of my favorite things to do!)
We went to dinner and then watched the MU/OU game. My hubby is an MU fan and LOVED winning while we were in Tulsa around all these OU fans! OSU might have lost BUT Melmann got a new OSU dog collar (thanks to my bro and sis in law!):

Time to show some pictures and brag about how cute my little guys are (well not “my” but I act like they are mine, my niece and nephew):
Time to go eat with Corbin!
Something wrong with this?! Guess we aren't quite ready for real kids :) hehe totally kidding, although it is a classic picture!
I got lots of fun presents – a dog gate for our stairs, money, a camera tripod, OSU dog collar and a very pretty cashmere scarf! I am so spoiled by my sweet family!
During the football game (and after 50 games of hide-and-seek) my niece decided it was time to finally sit down..meaning time to play with the iphone! She honestly knows the phone SO well and she’s only 3 ½! She knew all the kid games I downloaded and sat there with Uncle Josh forever. Look how sweet they are! He will be one good daddy one day :)
Kind of scary how well our dog poses for pictures! I’ve already trained him well! Hehe
After a fun filled packed weekend we got home and I got another present! Josh’s parents gave me an amazing gift! Custom dog bowls for Melmann! My father in law is very handy and does carpentry for fun. Check it out:

We walked in and right away we both go “Oh My Gosh, that is HUGE”.. then walked in Melmann and at 4 months (55 lbs) his head already sits on the top of it! Haha. So it will be perfect size for a huge baby!

I really thought after a few posts I would stop ALWAYS talking about my dog.. but sorry, nope. I’m still on a kick, he’s just so sweet and such a HUGE mess! He’s doing really well at obedience but man does he have energy! AND he is growing so much; I don’t realize it until I see pictures! He’s gained 20 lbs in the past month. I’m thinking by 9 months he will be 100 lbs.
I have many more pictures on our website (I’m a picture freak, I know!). http://www.joshandamber.shutterfly.com/.

I couldn’t stay out too late (we are getting old) and we got up early on Saturday morning and drove to Oklahoma to visit my family. It wouldn’t have been quite a “celebration” without spending time with my family! We got there around one and then Melmann and I went to meet two of my besties for lunch. Some much needed OSU girl talk and catch up, PLUS some snuggle time with Mr. Mason.
How cute is he!
How cute is he!
Melmann is such a good boy; he just sat in the backseat and either looks around or sleeps while we run errands. The backseat of the car is just like a crate for him and he loves it. He’s my shopping buddy!

My very favorite picture!

And of course, Corbin needed his first picture with Melmann: (I love how Corbin is looking at Melmann, he already loves him)
Cake time!
On Sunday, we cooked breakfast with my dad and enjoyed a very yummy breakfast with my parents before heading home to KC. On Friday it marked 17 years since I lost my mom to colon cancer so we decided to stop by and let Melmann meet Grandma Reeves. Of course, Mel had to have a picture with my mom’s grave.

Hope everyone has a fantastic Halloween this weekend! On Thursday night when I get home from traveling I am going to HyVee and stocking up on the candy. It’s our first year in a suburb and all the kids know “Melmann’s house”… We can’t disappoint them! Happy Cavities :)
