Although we live in Kansas City, embarrassingly enough this weekend was our FIRST Royals game all season!! We are bad hometown fans.. BUT we are thinking about getting season tickets to the Chiefs so we will put our local support there! (Hubby enjoys football more than baseball.. even though I disagree, baseball pants are much nicer to look at than football pads!) So anyway, this weekend we supported our local team!
On Saturday we went to a pool party and hung out with friends and then we went to the game with 2 of our couple friends. It was a great time – we got hotdogs, nachos, beer, and peanuts (Yes every single one of those!) and it was fantastic! And to top it off the Royals actually won!! So it was a great weekend in KC. (Especially because we did NO traveling, just spend time at home!)

Even though the weekend was fantastic we did have a small crisis in our household this week.. If you read my last post you’ll know that we bought a car last weekend.
Well this past week after driving it we noticed it was making a weird sound so we had my father in law check it out. He noticed it was the tires and we took it to a shop for a 2nd opinion and he was right! So it looks like my new car with “new tires” was not so new.. needless to say the sales guy at the dealership we bought the car from was NOT happy to hear from Mrs. Mead on Wednesday morning! I will admit though, he let us bring the car in and they put brand new tires on the car. It was just frustrating that he kept saying they were brand new tires and we leave and then WE notice they lied! So now the maxima is actually really “new” and happy! I'm just happy it’s over and didn’t cost us anything!
This week I’m spending time in Kansas City taking a class (hooray for no airplanes or hotel!). On Tuesday my dad is traveling to KC for work so we get to have a father/daughter date night! We are going to get dinner and then go see a girlie movie. Looking forward to it!
Hope everyone had a good weekend and enjoyed the sunshine like we did!
