Pink everywhere, flowers, heart candies, time with the husband = great Valentines weekend! We took it easy and cooked yummy food and relaxed at home.
My sweet husband woke me up with this:
We love to cook on the grill but we never branch out, it's always steak or chicken. So we decided we'd try fish. I found some salmon with seasoning already on it at HyVee. I got some corn and bread to go along with it and it turned out great! It was so easy to cook too, about 8 minutes on the grill and it was ready to go.
It doesn't look as fancy as it seemed! haha.. maybe it's the fancy paper towel napkin throwing the picture off :)
On Saturday evening we went to the Capital Grill. It was incredible (expensive!) but good. We had plans to go for Josh's 30 birthday (yes, in November) and we never ended up going. We decided to wait and go over Valentines weekend, so we did. I took some before shots of us and the family:
Josh and Kroeger: (kroegs loves pictures if you cant tell)
Josh and I:
This picture sums up my husband and dogs relationship, play play play play :)
On Sunday we rented movies and lounged all day. Melmann is now a human and sits on the couch with us. We went to the vet today and he now weighs 115 lbs. The vet said he will probably end up being the biggest dane he gives care to. (of course i picked the biggest boy!). He estimates him weighing 140 at a year and a half, which is full grown for his breed. Here's him in action "sitting" with us:
Hope everyone had a happy heart day!!
